Author Guidelines

General

1. The official language for writing is English. However, there MUST be consistency in each manuscript regarding the style of English (either US or UK).
2. Manuscripts must be research articles that have not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.
3. Authors are required to confirm in an authentically signed written document that (i) the manuscript has not been published elsewhere and (ii) there is no conflict of interest in any form regarding the manuscript and its contents.

Page Format and Layout:

1. Manuscripts must be written in Microsoft Word.
2. The body text should be written on A4-sized paper (21 cm x 29.7 cm) with left margin 2.54 cm; top 3 cm; right 2.54 cm; bottom 2.54 cm.
3. Use Times New Roman 12 pt font with 1.15 line spacing.
4. Each new paragraph should start without a TAB, and the entire document must be justified.
5. There should be additional spacing between paragraphs, specifically after 6 pt, and before 0 pt.

Title and Author Details:

1. The article title should use Times New Roman 14 pt font, with a maximum of 20 words and in uppercase letters.
2. The author's name, affiliation, and email address should use Times New Roman 12 pt font.
3. Author details should not include any professional titles (e.g., Managing Director) or academic titles (e.g., Dr.).
4. Each affiliation should include at least the name of the Department, University/Institution, City, and Country (e.g., Department of Informatics Engineering, Universitas Teknologi Akba Makassar, Makassar, Indonesia).
5. The email addresses of all authors should be included, and the Corresponding Author should be indicated with an asterisk.

Journal Paper Structure

Abstract:

The abstract should be written in Times New Roman 12 pt font and contain 150-250 words that provide a brief description of the problem discussed, the purpose of the paper, methods, results, conclusions, and contribution to knowledge and/or practice.

Keywords:

Keywords can be taken from the research variables, subject characteristics, and referenced theories (at least three to five words or phrases separated by commas).

Article Content:

1. The entire manuscript content must use Times New Roman 12 pt font with 1.15 line spacing. Other spacing can be used if necessary for specific purposes.
2. Article length should be between 2000-3000 words (excluding bibliography, notes, and tables).
3. Each new paragraph should start without a TAB.

Section Titles:

All section titles should use Times New Roman 12 pt font and be in uppercase letters.

Figures and Tables:

1. Figures and tables should be centered on the page. Graphics may be in full color and should not use dotted fill patterns as they may not reproduce well. Please use only solid fill colors that contrast well on both screen and black-and-white print.
2. Figures should be numbered using Arabic numerals. Figure titles should use Times New Roman 12 pt font with an initial capital letter in sentence case. The title with the figure number should be placed after the corresponding figure.
3. Tables should be numbered using Arabic numerals. Table titles should be centered and use Times New Roman 12 pt font with an initial capital letter in sentence case. The title containing the table number should be placed before the corresponding table.

Acknowledgments (if any):

The heading of the Acknowledgments section must not be numbered.

References and Referencing:

1. The References section title should not be numbered.
2. All reference items must use Times New Roman 12 pt font. The referencing style is APA 7th Edition, and we suggest using Mendeley.
3. The References list should include at least 80% of sources published within the last 5 years, and at least 80% of the references should come from primary sources or accredited national journals and/or reputable international journals.

Manuscript Submission:

1. Manuscripts can be submitted in MSWord format via the submission page (https://ojs.unitama.ac.id/index.php/inspiration/about/submissions) or as an email attachment to the journal (lp2m@unitama.ac.id) at any time.
2. The similarity index of the submitted article should not exceed 25% (Note: All submitted articles will undergo a similarity check using the Turnitin plagiarism checker).

Manuscript Review:

Manuscripts submitted to Inspiration: Journal of Information and Communication Technology for consideration for publication will undergo peer review.

Submission and Processing Fees:

There is no submission fee for this journal. However, if the paper is accepted, a fee of IDR 500,000 (Five Hundred Thousand Rupiah) will be charged.
